I have been collecting music since I was a child. I used to huddle next to a speaker with a cassette recorder, intently waiting to push that red button as soon as I would hear that one special song. I moved from self-recorded mix tapes to store bought tapes to LPs to CDs to Mp3 players and finally to HDDs and streaming services. I was lucky to have a mindset that allowed me to broaden my horizon and discover many styles of music while keeping my main interest firmly grounded in Rock’n’Roll. That wasn’t always easy but travel, working as a DJ and constant exposure to new people and places and their own distinct musical flavors taught me to expand my horizon. I want to share these many colors with you and hope to increase your tastes, collections and playlists. And in the process gain new insights with your input and comments.
